Tony Jesuraj, from Bengaluru has completed MA in public administration. He is working in St. Anthony High School T C Palya Bangalore as an administration staff. He coordinates youth activities and other social services activities throughout the year. Some of the activities are summer camps for poor children, daily evening tuition, and weekly distribution of food packets. The distribution of provisions during the COVID-19 pandemic was a notable contribution to society. He also works with the eco-friendly programmes, old age homes and orphanages. Mariammal Bala Murgan, a social worker from Virudunagar, Tamil Nadu has worked to implement the United Nations sustainable development goals . Mainly working in the fields of women and child empowerment, Mariammal believes in self reliance. She gives rural women basic job training such as tailoring and weaving , and helps them to secure jobs or start their own small business. Mariammal was instrumental in many campaigns and rescuse related to child labourers.She works closely with Virudhunagar Local administration to provide education and employment to those who think of it as a distant dream. Mariammal has also proved to be a valuable asset to the society by her efforts to protect and nurture the environment and ensure the availability clean drinking water in rural areas. She also was an active volunteer during the corona outbreak and donated masks, sanitisers and food to the needy.
